Your home search just got tougher, look.
Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) just put out some new podcast episodes that, while not directly about Lethbridge, touch on things we're feeling out here. Look, their new "REAL TIME" podcast for 2025 is getting a new host, Shaun Majumder. That's a bit of a curveball. More to the point for us, they’ve also dropped Episode 74: "The Working REALTOR®: Building Long-Term Community in a Short-Term Stay." It’s about how realtors help people feel at home, which is a big deal in a place like ours, with folks moving for the university or the agriculture industry.
Then there's Episode 72: "Making the Real Estate Journey More Accessible with Jeffrey Kerr," which talks about accommodations for clients with mobility, visual, or auditory barriers. It’s a good reminder that not everyone navigates the housing market the same way, and that's something worth thinking about as our city grows, stretching from the west side bluffs to the historic downtown. We're always trying to make sure everyone can find their place here, you know?
These conversations point to broader issues in the housing market, which impacts every one of us trying to find a home in Lethbridge, whether you're looking for a place near Indian Battle Park or out closer to the irrigation canals. It's a reminder that community isn't just built with bricks and mortar, but with accessibility and connection.
