Your week at City Hall was mostly about the sky
*Tânisi* Regina. Darlene Chicken-Lawson here, giving you the rundown of what we’ve been chatting about this week from City Hall. It’s been a week where the big news wasn't actually *inside* the building, eh?
### Weather, Weather, Everywhere
Oh for sure, we spent a fair bit of time just talking about the sky, didn't we? What with the *kîwêtin* winds whipping up that dust and those sudden prairie thunderstorms that roll in like a freight train over the horizon. Council meetings? Yeah, they happened, but folks were more concerned about if their car was gonna get hail-dented parking near the Scarth Street Mall, or if the Farmer's Market was going to get rained out down by City Square Plaza.
* Big winds, prairie dust storms creating low visibility. * Sudden, heavy thunderstorms with hail advisories. * The general state of the Saskatchewan sky dominated conversations.
It just felt like the weather dictated everything this week, even the mood at City Hall. You can't plan much when Mother Nature's got her own agenda, can you? It's just how it is out here on the plains, eh?
This is Regina — yeah, we know what it sounds like, and we've heard your joke. Now sit down and listen.
