Your City Hall week was quiet, eh?
This is Regina — yeah, we know what it sounds like, and we've heard your joke. Now sit down and listen.
*Tânisi* Regina. Darlene Chicken-Lawson here, giving you the rundown of what we’ve been chatting about this week from City Hall. It was one of those weeks where the big news wasn't actually *inside* the building, eh? More like *above* it.
### What Was Up
We talked a fair bit about the skies this week, and not just the beautiful prairie sunsets over Wascana Lake.
* The city was on high alert for some serious weather systems, eh? We had a few tornado warnings that kept us all glued to the radio. * Luckily, nothing too major touched down right in the city, but folks out in the rural areas certainly felt it. Our emergency services were ready, oh for sure.
It felt a bit like City Hall was holding its breath with the rest of us, just watching the radar. Not a lot of new big policy decisions or debates, just a focus on keeping everyone safe and informed through Mother Nature's little show. That's Regina for you, though – we look out for each other.
*Kinanâskomitin*.
