Your City Hall recap and what we learned, eh?
*Tânisi* Regina. Darlene Chicken-Lawson here, giving you the rundown of what we’ve been chatting about this week from City Hall. This is Regina — yeah, we know what it sounds like, and we've heard your joke. Now sit down and listen.
It’s been a week where the big news wasn't actually *inside* the building, eh? We spent a lot of time looking up, not just at our Prairie skies, but at what’s been happening *in* them.
### Sky's the Limit, Or Not
Seems like everyone was talking about the weather. We saw some wild swings, which isn't exactly new for Regina, but it always gets folks buzzing. From those big, dramatic storm clouds rolling in from the west, making the Parliament Building look tiny, to the sudden shifts that catch you without your *mâci-tastawiyiniwak* (rain gear).
Here’s what we heard echoing through the chambers and coffee shops:
* Discussions on storm water management after those surprise downpours. * The usual chatter about road conditions, especially after a quick freeze-thaw cycle. * And of course, everyone wondering if this means we're in for a dry summer, or if we'll be needing our Wascana Lake-sized umbrellas.
It all boils down to how we prepare for whatever Mother Nature throws our way, and how City Hall plans to keep things running smooth, even when the sky decides to get a little dramatic.
Darlene Chicken-Lawson, bringing you the scoop from the Queen City.
