Your West End is changing, like it or not
It was a clear day yesterday, the kind where the North Shore mountains stand sharp against the blue sky, like a painting that just hasn't decided if it wants to be a backdrop or the main subject. But down here, closer to the pavement, things are always a bit more... complicated.
City Council voted on March 12, 2026, to carry the CD-1 Rezoning for 2028-2038 Barclay Street. This means those proposed changes to the West End, pushing for higher density, are moving forward. Mayor Ken Sim, Councillor Mike Klassen, Councillor Pete Meiszner, Councillor Lena Zhou, and Councillor Rebecca Bligh all voted in favour.
