Your West Side house is being torn down
It's been a busy day for Vancouver's building permit office, with some interesting shifts in the city's residential landscape. Data released this morning from the City of Vancouver's issued building permits shows a demolition permit, DB-2025-04260, was issued on April 14, 2026, for a single-detached house at 1070 Le Roi Street in East Vancouver. This 1948 home is slated to be demolished to grade.
Meanwhile, a new building permit, BP-2025-01724, was issued for a "Multiplex" at 4384 W 2nd Avenue. This project aims to construct a two-storey, two-unit building.
