Vegas Golden Knights get shut out at home
Okay, so I know a lot of you probably went to bed early last night, thinking the Vegas Golden Knights would turn it around. We've seen them do it a hundred times since 2017. But no, the Carolina Hurricanes came into T-Mobile Arena and dealt us a 3-0 shutout. Tony Hall got them on the board early in the first, then Jaxon Blake added another in the second. Niels Ehlers sealed it with an empty-netter in the third. Our boys just couldn't solve their goalie, letting those 22 shots go to waste. It was a tough one to watch, especially at home.
### So, What's the Read?
Look, this is not the end of the world, but it stings. We're still sitting at 39-26-17 with 95 points, holding onto that first spot in the Pacific Division. Our last ten games? A solid 7-0-3. So, one loss doesn't blow up the whole season, but it does show that we can't just coast into the playoffs. Every game has a house edge, and last night, it just wasn't ours.
* Carolina's goalie was locked in. * We had some chances, but nothing truly dangerous. * The power play felt invisible.
This morning, the mood around Las Vegas is probably a little quieter than usual. You won't hear as much excited chatter down on Fremont Street. It’s a good reminder that every point matters, especially as we push into the final stretch. We've got to regroup, tighten things up, and make sure this isn't a trend. The schedule isn't letting up, and we need to be all in for the next one.
