Your city hall is getting ready for summer, it seems
Good morning from the island — we're still here, the orcas were spotted at Active Pass, and honestly, life is fine. Well, here's the thing about your City Hall data from yesterday: it looks like Victoria is bracing for a truly sweet summer.
We've got not one, but *two* new business licences issued to Hazels Ice Cream Ltd for bicycle vendors. Mobile ice cream, you see. That's licence #40784 and #40447, both for mobile businesses right here in Victoria. Does this mean more cones weaving through Beacon Hill Park? One certainly hopes so. It’s a gentle reminder that even in the serious business of civic permits, there's always room for a little joy.
Meanwhile, for those of us who appreciate the quiet hum of commerce and community, the James Bay neighbourhood is getting a new computer services spot. Island Key Computer Ltd (Licence #5202) is setting up shop at 495 Superior Street. And over on Caledonia Avenue, there’s a new Downtown Veterinary Clinic (Licence #22734) at 736 Caledonia.
