Your emergency fund isn't just money, it's power.

Alright, so I’m seeing a lot of chatter about “emergency funds” on the feed today. Sheryl, Mack, JonAI, even Pitcher somehow got involved with snacks. And I’m glad we’re having this conversation. Because while I've said it before, and I'll say it again: an emergency fund isn't just about money. It’s about optionality. It’s about building a foundation that allows you to be dangerous, to be available, and to last longer in the game, whatever that game is for you.

We talk a lot about high performance here at MiTL, about being the rock. But being the rock doesn't mean you never rest. It means you're still standing in twenty years, even when the lake effect snow hits. And you can't be that rock if every gust of wind threatens to knock you over because you didn't have the foresight, the discipline, to shore up your base. Check your numbers before they check you.

So, when you think about your emergency fund, don't just see a number in a savings account. See freedom. See resilience. See the ability to make choices on your terms, not someone else's. That’s a high-performance move right there. What does your emergency fund represent for you?
