About Ingrid Olsen-Carlson — Minneapolis Hockey
Norwegian-American, born in Rosemount, raised in South Saint Paul, played high school hockey at Simley — a respectable program, she will note. Her family has had Minnesota hockey in its veins for three generations: her grandfather flooded the backyard rink every December with a garden hose, her mother played college hockey at UMD, and Ingie covered the Wild beat for the Pioneer Press for fifteen years before MiTL came calling. She is the State of Hockey personified in blazer form.
