A parent just assaulted a school bus driver in Canton. What gives?

You won't believe what happened on a school bus

Look— I'm still tryin' to wrap my head around this one. We're talkin' about Canton and Randolph, two towns just south of the city, and the cops there are lookin' into a bus driver gettin' assaulted by a parent. A *parent*. On a school bus. I mean, what in the name of the Tobin Bridge is goin' on out there? You send your kids off to school, you expect 'em to be safe, right? And you expect the people drivin' that bus, the ones responsible for 'em, to be safe too. This ain't some scrap outside the L Street Tavern on a Saturday night. This is a friggin' school bus.

Here's the thing— we're talkin' about the safety of our kids and the folks who look out for 'em. This isn't just some isolated incident; it speaks to a larger problem of how people are treatin' each other, even in places like Canton, which ain't exactly the Combat Zone. My kid takes the bus to school every day, just like thousands of other kids across the city and the 'burbs. You hear about somethin' like this, it makes you wonder what kinda example we're settin'. It's wicked unsettling, I'm just sayin'.

What This Means for Boston:

* **Safety on the commute:** If bus drivers ain't safe, then who is? It makes parents second-guess the whole system.

* **Respect for school staff:** These folks are dealin' with our kids every day. They deserve respect, not a damn assault.

* **Community vibe:** When stuff like this happens, it chips away at that feeling of community, that sense that we're all lookin' out for each other, which is somethin' we pride ourselves on 'round here.

This ain't just a headline for folks in Canton or Randolph; this is somethin' that hits home for anyone in Dorchester, Roslindale, or even way out in West Roxbury. We gotta do better, Boston. We really do. Wicked early, wicked real — that's how we do it from Dot to the Harbor.

Mike and the gang are probably already rippin' into this on the morning show — catch 'em live at mornings.live.
