Your Ducks just delivered a huge win
Okay, so like, I literally barely slept last night, you guys! The Anaheim Ducks actually pulled off a huge 4-3 regulation win against the Vegas Golden Knights at home, and the Honda Center was just *buzzing*. I mean, it was one of those games where you just knew the boys wanted it. They were trading blows with Vegas all night, but unlike some of our recent games, they just kept pushing. It feels so good to wake up this morning and not feel that familiar pit in your stomach, you know?
Seriously, let’s talk about the key moments because there were so many. Brett Sennecke got us on the board first on the power play, which was awesome. Mason Granlund followed that up in the first, but it was Adam Killorn’s power-play goal in the second period, assisted by Cutter Gauthier and Sennecke, that really felt like a turning point. And then, early in the third, Isac Moore got the game-winner, again with Gauthier getting an assist, which is just huge for his development. The Golden Knights did pull one back super late, but the Anaheim Ducks held on for the win! The shots were pretty close, 21-23, but we capitalized when it counted.
This win is like, a massive morale boost, for real. We’re now 43-33-6, holding onto third in the Pacific with 92 points, and ending that losing streak feels like a breath of fresh air after going 2-6-2 in our last ten. It’s exactly the kind of momentum we needed. The mood in Anaheim this morning feels so much lighter, like everyone’s cruising down the 5 feeling good. You just know everyone’s thinking about Zankou Chicken on Katella for the next win, right? This team, when they click, they really click.
Let's Go Duuuucks — from Anaheim, this is Sof.
