This past week, look, the most significant updates from City Hall weren't about new policies or big spending. Instead, the focus was squarely on the sky, and what it was bringing our way. We had a blizzard warning roll through, then a wind warning that rattled a few windows over by Henderson Lake.
Our City Council and administrators spent more time monitoring Environment Canada bulletins than debating new initiatives. Snowfall totals, wind speeds, and how the roads were holding up across the city – from the west side to the industrial park – that was the main agenda.

It felt like the weather was running the show, and City Hall was just trying to keep up, like the rest of us trying to keep our hats on down by the river valley, the Oldman River, *Moko’tsisan*, carving its path below.
