Look, this past week, City Hall has been quieter than a Sunday morning down by the Oldman River. We’ve seen little in the way of new movements or announcements. It felt like everyone was just watching the horizon, waiting for something to shift.
### The Weather Had More to Say
It seemed the biggest news came straight from the sky, not the council chambers. Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for our area, warning us of significant wind gusts.
* The wind, that constant companion in southern Alberta, really made its presence known. * Gusts were expected to kick up dust and make things generally blustery across the plains, from the Porcupine Hills all the way to the <em>Sik-ooh-kotokii</em> — that's the Crowsnest Pass.
This stillness at City Hall means we're still waiting on what's next for Lethbridge. Maybe the silence is just the calm before the next big conversation starts up again.
