Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
Look, this past week, City Hall was quieter than a deer grazing near the *Sik-ooh-kotok* (Oldman River) in the early morning. It felt like a deep breath, or maybe a long, quiet pause before something bigger. The chinook arch we saw yesterday is gone, but that *napi* (old man winter) chill is still hanging around, a reminder that things can shift quickly.

Even with the quiet, there was a clear undercurrent:
* **City Hall's Low Hum:** Council meetings and civic discussions were notably subdued. * **Real Estate's Loud Voice:** The housing market, however, continued to move, showing no signs of slowing down even as the city itself seemed to take a break. * **The Land Remembers:** This land, this prairie, it always talks. And right now, it's saying, things are in motion, even when we can't always hear the words.
So, while our elected folks in the big building were catching their breath, the folks buying and selling homes across Lethbridge were still at it. It’s a good reminder that not all important conversations happen under the big dome.
