Your City Hall was quieter than the wind this week
Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
This past week, the news out of City Hall was about as plentiful as calm air in late spring. Look, it was quiet. Real quiet. It felt like the city was holding its breath, waiting. The official word was minimal, which meant our eyes turned to other currents shaping our *Pakan* (land).
### When City Hall Stays Quiet
* The local housing market, though, was anything but still, showing its own kind of strong push and pull. * Then the weather started its own conversation, loud and clear. Multiple warnings for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and some pretty wild wind took over the forecast. * It meant a lot of us were keeping an eye on the sky instead of the council chambers.
The silence from the city's halls, combined with the booming weather, made for a week where nature had the loudest voice in Lethbridge. Sometimes, that's just how it goes here, under this big sky.
