Your weather worries are finally over (for now)
Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
Look, this past week felt like we were just holding our breath, waiting for the weather to truly break. It was a week where City Hall itself was as quiet as a field after harvest, but the conversation everywhere else was all about the sky.
We had days where the wind howled and the clouds gathered, and Environment Canada kept us on edge with one warning after another.
Here’s what we saw:
* Early in the week, City Hall was unusually quiet on new reports. * The looming threat of severe weather dominated the news. * Multiple weather warnings were issued for Lethbridge and surrounding areas. * Commutes were expected to be, shall we say, a bit of a challenge due to the conditions.
The good news is, as of this morning, things are looking a little calmer. We made it through another one, folks. The land here, it always reminds you who's really in charge.
