Vegas Golden Knights Game Recap: VGK 5, UTA 1

Your Knights just keep winning baby, don't they?

We’re Feelin’ Good After That Big Win

Alright, if you fell asleep after the second period last night, you missed a clinic. The Vegas Golden Knights absolutely rolled over the Utah Mammoth, snagging a 5-1 road win. Brett Howden got us on the board early in the first, setting the tone. Then Mitch Marner, who is just on another level right now, potted one late in the second. Utah tried to make it a game with a goal in the third, but we slammed the door shut with three more, including another one from Marner on the power play. Chandler Sissons and Chandler Smith rounded out the scoring, and it felt like a total team effort. That 26-23 shot advantage doesn't even tell the whole story of how much control the Knights had.

This win is huge, pushing the Vegas Golden Knights to 39-26-17, good for 95 points and firmly in first place in the Pacific Division. Our last ten games? An insane 7-0-3. That's the kind of consistency we haven't always seen since 2017, but it's here now, and it feels like we're peaking at the right time. Every point is a comp toward that playoff spot, and the house edge is definitely in our favor when we play like this. The energy around the city this morning feels like a weekend on the Strip, but it’s just a Tuesday.

What this means going forward is simple: keep the pedal down. We’re building serious momentum, and it's making everyone around the league take notice. The playoff picture is getting clearer, and the Knights are showing everyone that the road to the Cup still runs through Las Vegas. We’ve still got some tough matchups ahead, but with this kind of play, we’re all in.
