What's New in Victoria's Business Scene?
You know, the Inner Harbour was particularly calm this morning, the float planes landing almost silently. It’s a good backdrop for some interesting shifts in our city’s landscape.
According to recent business licences issued by the city, there’s a new entertainment spot joining the downtown core. Arcadia, an amusement centre, has secured Licence #48095 and will be setting up shop at 707 Johnson Street. Is this a sign of our collective desire for a bit more playful escapism? Perhaps. It certainly adds a different flavour to the Fort Street antique district, wouldn't you say?

It's always fascinating to see the ebb and flow of what the city deems worthy of a new licence. These small additions, from mobile ice cream to new tech services, subtly shift the texture of our neighbourhoods. We’ll be curious to see how Arcadia integrates into the Johnson Street vibe, particularly as the days grow longer and more people are out and about.
