Well, here's the thing about what your City Hall has been up to. While you were perhaps enjoying a quiet cup of tea or watching the float planes land in the Inner Harbour, some interesting developments have quietly surfaced in the recent business license approvals.
The most intriguing? We have a new entertainment spot on the horizon.
* Arcadia, an "Entertainment - Amusement Centre," has secured Licence #48095 at 707 Johnson Street. This is quite a specific category, isn't it? It makes one wonder if we’re about to see the return of classic arcade games or something even more... digital. * It's a welcome addition to the downtown core, perhaps offering a different kind of buzz than the usual bustle around Fort Street's antique shops.
Alongside this, it seems the mobile ice cream scene is thriving, with Hazels Ice Cream Ltd. picking up two separate bicycle vendor licenses. And for our four-legged friends, a new Downtown Veterinary Clinic has opened its doors at 736 Caledonia Avenue.
