Hazmat response just hit Logan-C.P.R. what's going on

We just got an update from the Civic Intelligence Monitor, and there's a Hazmat response incident: 2026050478 in the Logan-C.P.R. neighbourhood, which is in the Point Douglas ward. This was logged at 2:41 AM on April 6, 2026. Details are still coming in about what exactly is happening there, but our Fire Rescue Hazmat units are on scene, hey. We'll keep an eye on this as it develops throughout the morning.
### Demolitions and Development
Shifting gears a bit, it looks like there's some significant residential change happening across the city. The city issued three demolition permits on March 31, 2026.
* One for 563 Redwood Avenue in ST. JOHN'S, Mynarski ward (permit: 26-135841 AS). * Another at 881 Main Street in NORTH POINT DOUGLAS, also in Mynarski (permit: 25-251332 RP), applied for by Wintec Building Services Inc. * And a third at 546 Renfrew ST in J. B. MITCHELL, River Heights - Fort Garry ward (permit: 26-124140 HO), with Synergy Homes Inc. as the applicant.
This activity is part of a larger trend, with 25 new housing units permitted this week across 30 projects in areas like Riel, Assiniboia, East Kildonan-Transcona, and City Centre. It’s a small number of units for that many projects, which means we’re seeing a lot of smaller-scale infill development, rebuilding, or perhaps splitting larger lots, hey. It’ll be interesting to see what replaces these structures in these neighbourhoods.
