We're starting this morning with some real-time intelligence from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) dispatch records. It looks like the crews had a busy early morning, especially in West Broadway. Two structure fires were reported in the neighbourhood within minutes of each other. The first at 6:23:58 AM, incident 2026071727, and another at 6:23:21 AM, incident 2026071726. Both of these are in the Fort Rouge - East Fort Garry ward. The second fire, incident 2026071726, saw multiple units like E101, E104, L1, and R4 on scene and was resolved by 7:16:07 AM.
Beyond West Broadway, WFPS also responded to structure fires in Riverbend (incident 2026071696) and Weston (incident 2026071691) in the early hours. There’s also an active hazmat response ongoing in Lavalee in St. Vital, incident 2026071728, which started at 6:22:51 AM.
