We've got some serious news coming out of the North End this morning, hey. The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) has been busy in the William Whyte neighborhood. Our real-time civic intelligence monitor shows three separate structure fires reported there between 2:42 AM and 5:21 AM on May 16, 2026.
Here’s the rundown: * **Incident 2026074174:** Reported at 2:42:32 AM, resolved by 4:57:56 AM. * **Incident 2026074215:** Reported at 5:18:22 AM, and as of 11:52:18 AM, it's still listed as ACTIVE. WFPS units like E102, E17, and L1 were dispatched. * **Incident 2026074216:** Reported at 5:21:03 AM, resolved just two minutes later at 5:23:07 AM.
All three incidents are listed as "Fire Rescue - Structure Fire" in the William Whyte neighbourhood, which falls under the Mynarski ward. Given the dry, windy conditions the WFPS warned about just a few days ago on May 13, this is definitely something to keep an eye on. It’s a lot of activity in one area in a short amount of time.
