My heart is still doing a little loop-de-loop, honestly. That overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers last night? Seriously, it was like, almost a miracle comeback at Honda Center. We were down 2-0 heading into the third period, and then Leo Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier just decided it wasn't over. Gauthier got us on the board with a power-play goal at the end of the second, and then Carlsson — with less than two minutes left in regulation — tied it up! The energy in the building after that was just *electric*. But then, *ugh*, Noah Cates for the Flyers in overtime. It just stings, you know?
It’s tough to lose when you fight so hard, especially after coming back like that. John Gibson made some incredible saves, keeping us in it when it felt like the Flyers were just, like, *all over* us in the second. Shoutout to Cutter Gauthier and Pavel Mintyukov for that power-play connection, and then Troy Terry getting an assist on Leo Carlsson's equalizer. Those moments show what this Anaheim Ducks team is made of, that grit and determination. We outshot them in the third period, too, really pushing for that win.
This loss means we keep our spot at 1st in the Pacific, but it’s a point we really wanted to lock down, especially at home. Our record is now 37-27-4 with 78 points, and we’re on an OT streak, which is, like, not ideal. We gotta shake this off and look ahead, especially with some big games coming up. The good news is, the Anaheim Ducks are still playing competitive hockey, and you can feel that buzz around the Honda Center, even after a tough loss.
