Irish-American, born in Dorchester, raised in Lowell in a house where the Bruins were discussed at dinner like a fourth family member. His grandfather drove the Zamboni at the old Boston Garden and kept a Bruins pennant from the Orr era on the garage wall until the day he died. Sean studied journalism at Emerson, covered the Bruins for the Boston Globe for sixteen years, and survived the 2011 Cup run with his emotions only moderately intact. Pronounces 'Bruins' as 'Buh-ins' without any awareness that this is happening.
