You gotta watch the Bruins tonight, kid
Alright, it’s gameday, and the Boston Bruins are back at the TD Garden to take on the Buffalo Sabres. You know the drill. We just hit that hundred-point mark, fourth in the Atlantic, and sitting in that wild card spot. We've been playin' decent, a win streak ain't nothing to scoff at, and we're comin' off a good one. Tonight, though, we gotta keep that foot on the gas. Buffalo, they're scrappy, always have been. You gotta respect that. But this ain't about them, it's about *us*.
What I'm lookin' for tonight is how we handle their speed. They got some young guns who can fly, and if we're not tight in our own end, it could get dicey. Our defense needs to be physical, let 'em know they ain't gettin' any easy ice in the Gahden. And up front, we gotta drive the net. Get those greasy goals. We're not lookin' for fancy stuff, we're lookin' for 'lunch pail A.C.' hockey. That's how you beat teams that think they can just skate around you. This ain't a measuring stick game, this is a "keep the momentum rollin' and show 'em who owns Causeway Street" game.
The city's feelin' it, too. You walk down Hanover Street, people are talkin' Bruins. It’s that time of year, when every game starts to feel a little bit more important. We’ve seen these Boston Bruins teams before, the ones that find their stride late and just keep rollin'. Tonight’s another chance to show everyone we're for real. Don’t sleep on this one.
