You better believe the Boston Bruins made it count last night, kid. Four to two against the Buffalo Sabres on the road, and honestly, we needed that one somethin' fierce. It wasn't the prettiest start, especially with the Sabres throwin' everything at Linus Ullmark in the first, but the second period? That's when the Lunch Pail A.C. showed up. Viktor Arvidsson got us on the board, then Morgan Geekie put one away, and P. Zacha made it a power-play goal. That’s how you get it done when the chips are down. We gave up a couple late in the third, sure, but a win's a win, and we closed it out.
The real story here is the guys finding a way to get it done when the shots weren't exactly in our favor. Twenty-six to thirty-six, that's not our usual style, but Arvidsson grabbed another one sixteen seconds into the third, sealing the deal when we needed it most. He and Charlie Coyle were buzzin' out there. David Pastrnak got a couple of assists too, always good to see him makin' plays. It shows this team can bend, but it ain't gonna break, not with the playoffs around the corner. Ullmark stood tall, and the defense, when it mattered, locked it down.
This win puts the Boston Bruins at a hundred points exactly. One hundred. We’re sitting at 45-27-10, still fourth in the Atlantic, but holding that Wildcard spot tight. We needed to string a few together, and this is a good start after that little wobble. Next up, we gotta keep this momentum rollin' and make sure we're playing playoff hockey from here on out. Folks around Savin Hill are feelin' a bit better this morning, knowin' the boys are still fightin'. Every point matters from here on out.
