You gotta see what the Bruins did last night.
Kid, if you went to bed early, you missed a comeback for the ages. The Boston Bruins were down three goals going into the third period against the Columbus Blue Jackets, lookin' dead in the water. Boston was gettin' outworked, bein' sloppy in their own end, and the Blue Jackets just kept comin'. Then Charlie McAvoy potted one early in the third, and the whole thing changed. Pavel Zacha scored not once, but twice, both on the power play, including the game-tying goal with just eleven seconds left in regulation. Overtime settled nothin', and then Jesper Arvidsson sealed it in the shootout. Boston wins 4-3, just a wicked pissa.
This kinda win, it tells ya somethin' about the character of the team. They were getting' outshot in the first, but ended up puttin' 38 on net by the end of it. Zacha comin' up big on the power play is huge, and Arvidsson showin' up when it matters. This keeps the Boston Bruins rollin' with a win streak, pushin' their record to 42-24-8, holdin' onto that Wildcard spot. Next up is a tough stretch, but if they can pull this kinda fight out of their pockets when things look grim, they can beat anyone. It's the kinda grit that makes ya wanna grab a coffee and a donut from Dunks this mornin' and just feel good about things.
